Your privacy in the game
Game privacy
policy.
This policy explains what the Fishopolis game for iOS and Android collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. Fishopolis is made by Tzolkin Labs.
Updated October 1, 2026
The short version
- You don’t need to give us your name or email to play. Your aquarium is saved on your device and backed up under an anonymous player ID.
- Gameplay analytics stay off unless you agree to them, and you can change your choice any time in Settings.
- Purchases are handled by the App Store or Google Play. We never see your payment card.
- The game shows ads. They’re provided through Unity, which collects device information to deliver them.
- We don’t sell your personal information.
Information the game collects
Your player account. When you first open Fishopolis, Unity Authentication creates an anonymous player ID for you. It isn’t tied to your name or email, and you can see and copy it in Settings. You can create a Fishopolis account by signing in with Apple or Google Play Games, which keeps your progress and purchases safe across devices. When you do, we receive an identifier for that account from Apple or Google. We never receive your password.
Game progress. Your aquariums, fish, currencies, level and settings are saved on your device. A backup is stored with Unity Cloud Save, linked to your player ID, so your progress can be restored. Some actions, such as claiming rewards and receiving purchased items, are checked on our game servers to prevent cheating.
Leaderboards. Your player level, coins earned and the value of fish you sell are recorded in Unity Leaderboards, linked to your player ID.
Purchases. In-app purchases are processed by Apple or Google under their terms. We don’t receive your payment card or billing details. We receive a purchase record, including the product, transaction ID and store receipt, and check it on our game servers before delivering your gems.
Gameplay analytics, only if you agree. Analytics are off by default. If you turn them on, the game sends gameplay events to Unity Analytics, such as levels reached, fish bought, sold and bred, items bought, purchase attempts, and how long you were away. Unity Analytics also receives technical information such as your device model, operating system, game version, language, and approximate location based on your IP address. We use this to understand what players enjoy, balance the game, and fix problems. You can turn analytics off any time in Settings.
Connecting to game services. When the game connects to Unity Gaming Services to sign in, back up your progress, check purchases or download game settings, Unity receives technical information such as your IP address, approximate location, device type, operating system and game version. This is needed to provide those services and keep them secure.
Ads. Fishopolis shows ads, including video ads you can choose to watch for a reward, full-screen ads that appear occasionally between moments of play, and banner ads. Ads are provided through Unity LevelPlay and the ad networks it works with, such as Unity Ads. When an ad loads or is shown, these providers may collect your device’s advertising ID where available, IP address and approximate location, device information, in-game purchase activity, and how you interact with the ad. They use it to deliver and measure ads and prevent fraud, and may use it to personalize ads depending on your choices and the law where you live. On iPhone and iPad, Fishopolis doesn’t ask for permission to track you, so Apple’s advertising identifier isn’t shared. On Android, you can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings.
Notifications. Reminders, such as an egg being ready to hatch, are scheduled on your device. We don’t use a push notification service or collect device tokens. You can turn notifications off in the game’s Settings or your device settings.
Support emails. If you email fishopolis@tzolkinlabs.com, we receive your email address and whatever you include, and use it to help you.
What we don’t collect
Fishopolis doesn’t ask for your name, email address, contacts, photos, precise location, microphone or camera to play.
How we use information
- To run the game, manage your account, and save and restore your progress.
- To confirm purchases, deliver items, and prevent cheating and fraud.
- To show ads, including rewarded ads you choose to watch.
- With your permission, to analyze gameplay and improve the game.
- To answer support requests and meet legal obligations.
If you’re in the European Economic Area or the UK, we rely on performing our agreement with you to provide the game, our legitimate interests in keeping it secure and fair, your consent for analytics and, where required, personalized ads, and our legal obligations.
Who we share it with
- Unity Technologies provides our game services, analytics and ad mediation. See Unity’s Game Player and App User Privacy Policy.
- Ad networks working through Unity LevelPlay, when ads are loaded or shown.
- Apple and Google, to distribute the game, process purchases and let you sign in. See Apple’s privacy policy and Google’s privacy policy.
- Others where required by law, to protect players and the game, or as part of a business transfer.
We don’t sell your personal information.
Keeping and deleting your information
We keep your account and game data while you play. Analytics data is kept for Unity’s standard retention period. Deleting the app removes the data on your device, but not your cloud backup.
You can delete your Fishopolis account and the game data linked to it at any time in the game: open Settings and tap Delete Account. You can also ask us to do it by emailing fishopolis@tzolkinlabs.com with the subject “Delete my Fishopolis data” and your player ID from Settings.
Deleting your account removes your account, cloud backup, leaderboard entries and analytics data. Requests by email are completed within 30 days. Purchase records are kept only as long as the law requires.
Your choices and rights
You can turn analytics and notifications on or off in Settings, and limit ad personalization in your device settings. Depending on where you live, including the EEA, the UK, California and other US states, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your information, and to object or withdraw consent. Contact us to make a request. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
Fishopolis isn’t directed to children under 13, or the minimum age in your country, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has shared information with us, contact us and we’ll delete it.
Security and storage
The game connects to its services using encrypted connections. Our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries, with safeguards required by law. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
Changes
We’ll post any changes on this page and update the date above. If a change is significant, we’ll also let you know in the game.
